Warm. Inviting. Happiness. Laughter. Special. A celebration. So many beautiful words I could think of to discribe this wedding.  Andrea and I have known each other for years, and I've always loved her dearly. She's the kind of person who is just fun to be around and lights up a room with her laugh. We met when she was apart of the fabulous Sugar and Fluff design team and years ago at a wedding in Palm Springs she told me I would shoot her wedding someday. And I thought she was joking. She had the world of wedding photographers at her finger tips, so why would she pick me? And then she did. And I got to be apart of her beautiful day and witness the way Karlo loves her and I pretty much died of happiness. Thank you thank you thank you both for letting me shoot your love and be apart of your story. x

Darwin + Alex | St Croix Wedding

In January Emily from Shotgun floral studio and I went to St Croix for the wedding of Darwin and Alex who had won our wedding giveaway last year. And to be honest, perfect doesn't even come close to describing the days we spent in St Croix. We foraged from fields and roadside stands and met a woman name Doloris who invited us in and made us tea. We swam with bioluminescent dinoflagellates under a moonlight sky and kayaked through the ocean in the dark and held jellyfish that glowed like lightning bugs.

And their wedding? Well, it was a celebration of nearest and dearest, a gathering of love and heart and happiness and tears and sweet sweet joy. Thirty friends and family flew in for the week of festivities, reggae music played, rum overflowed, and somehow, I got to be apart of it all and document their love.
