Theory ||| Spring retreat, Carmel

Brooke and I had our second round of  THEORY the workshop in March in beautiful Carmel, CA. We rented the same little bungalow we rented last fall with foggy views and beautiful pine trees and soaked it in.

And it was lovely as it always is, with good food, beautiful shoots and some wonderful souls who joined us from all over the US. We dug deep into lighting, and fears and challenged our girls to push themselves in every way possible. Thanks so much to our awesome models who drove in to modeled for us and our wonderful vendors. We couldn't of done it without you.

Darwin + Alex | St Croix Wedding

In January Emily from Shotgun floral studio and I went to St Croix for the wedding of Darwin and Alex who had won our wedding giveaway last year. And to be honest, perfect doesn't even come close to describing the days we spent in St Croix. We foraged from fields and roadside stands and met a woman name Doloris who invited us in and made us tea. We swam with bioluminescent dinoflagellates under a moonlight sky and kayaked through the ocean in the dark and held jellyfish that glowed like lightning bugs.

And their wedding? Well, it was a celebration of nearest and dearest, a gathering of love and heart and happiness and tears and sweet sweet joy. Thirty friends and family flew in for the week of festivities, reggae music played, rum overflowed, and somehow, I got to be apart of it all and document their love.
