I tell stories.

I grew up writing novels, my head in the clouds, my nose in a book and as I do, i fell in love with photography wholeheartedly when my Grandma bonnie gave me my first camera. it was with that camera I realized I could capture more then words could in an instance, I discovered whole worlds. Since then it has been a downward spiral of documenting all I knew would be passing and fleeting, all I knew I would miss, all that I loved dearly, all that I found beautiful. My poetic heart aches with the memory before it is one. when I can’t find words I take pictures, when I can’t take pictures, I find words.

I have been photographing weddings for nineteen years and have been a part of hundreds of the most magical unions and rituals, and am still wildly filled with wonder and thanks that I get to Do this and to bear witness to your most intimate days and be welcomed into lives, to document people with with their beloveds, is the honor of a lifetime.

I believe stories deserve to be told and documented in the way that make you feel things, like the sweeping novels they are. Full of life and movement and tension and angst and poetry.
