When Vanessa contacted me about her wedding, I knew we were meant to be. I'd always wanted to shoot at 16th street station: an old train station in Oakland for it's dark and moody vibe, and her visions of photos in the cemetery behind Mission Dolores following the ceremony was something that made my heart beat fast. Add in a stunning old mission for the ceremony, green sequin bridesmaids, a cathedral veil and her moms wedding dress and I was counting down the days until these two wed. The rooftop where we were supposed to do sunset photos got shut down the week before the wedding but we made the most of a little coat closet with a pocket of light and the rest they say:: is history.
